PickinRocket respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are

What we collect
When you visit PickinRocket, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs basic technical information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on page, and referring URL. This is standard server log data used to maintain the site and understand how it is used.
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to measure aggregate site traffic. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser to recognize repeat visits and provide aggregate reports. The data Google Analytics collects is anonymized and pooled with data from other sites.
We do not run our own advertising. We do not maintain a mailing list. We do not require you to register or create an account.
If you email us, we will see your email address and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and do not add you to any mailing list.
Affiliate links and cookies
PickinRocket is an Amazon Associate (see our Affiliate Disclosure). When you click a link that takes you to Amazon, Amazon may set its own cookies on your browser to attribute any purchase back to PickinRocket for the purpose of paying us a commission. Amazon’s cookie behavior is governed by Amazon’s own privacy policy, not ours.
Amazon affiliate cookies expire after 24 hours. After 24 hours, no purchase you make on Amazon is associated with your earlier visit to PickinRocket.
Third-party services
PickinRocket uses a small number of third-party services to operate. The main ones are:
- Hostinger — our hosting provider, which logs visitor IP addresses for security and uptime monitoring
- Google Analytics — aggregate site analytics
- Amazon Associates Program — affiliate program; sets its own cookies when you click an affiliate link
Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
Your choices
- Block cookies. You can configure your browser to block cookies entirely. This will prevent affiliate attribution but will not affect your ability to read the site.
- Opt out of Google Analytics. Google provides a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics tracking on every site.
- Request information. Under Canadian and EU privacy laws, you have the right to ask what information we hold about you and to request its deletion. Email us at info@pickinrocket.ca.
Children
PickinRocket is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top.
